Holiday Happenings

Wassup wassup? How've ya been? Just kidding, anyone I care about I already know and everyone else I don't give a shit.

So, tomorrow is new years, huh? Kickass! Roll out that booze, York!

Anyway, I haven't posted on here in a while, so I thought I might give a bit of info of what I've been up to. Mostly it's been games and a few movies, a few things on the internet too. I've beat Final Fantasy's I, II, III, IV, and V (thank you game emulator) as well as Devil May Cry 4. All them are pretty sweet but DMC4 is the only one I'm still playing, not because the other's are bad but because RPG's don't have the same instant gratification as pulling off that stylish boss finisher without getting damaged. Also, I'm starting my first run of Bioshock and man, is that game scary. I mean, any game that can make you feel sacred when you have superpowers is damn scary.

I also saw Avatar in theaters as well as Crank 2: Hight Voltage, District 9, and The Hangover at home. Avatar was pretty good, if a bit predictable. Crank 2 is just like the first, so action packed and over the top it's just silly, which is awesome. It's almost embarrassingly good. District 9 is kinda like Avatar but just done a lot better and the Hangover is hands-down the funniest thing I've seen all year.

Anyway, on the net I've found some series on youtube by a user named ItsJustSomeRandomGuy who makes movies with superhero action figures. It's sounds lame and sad, I know, but its freaking hilarious and sometimes epic. He usually does a sort of spoof called "Hi, I'm a Marvel... And I'm a DC." I'm sure most of you can figure out what that's in reference too. He also does trailers for movies with the action figures replacing the roles, and some stories that are as awesome as they are funny. Here's a link to his page: http://www.youtube.com/user/itsjustsomerandomguy?blend=1&ob=4

Next is Freeman's Mind. The idea is hearing the thoughts of Gordon Freeman, the main character of Half-Life, as you play the game because the character never actually talks in the game. It kinda sounds like what Church would say... you know, if he was smart. Here's a link to that: http://www.youtube.com/show/freemansmind

Finally is the Madness series, something I found on newgrounds. It's an action and extremely violent series about... Well, I'm not sure really. From what I know there is a story but, if you don't want to understand the finer details of it you don't have to. All you need to know is there's a guy named Hank who gets killed almost every episode but not before killing a bunch of other people, and he always comes back the next episode. There's also Jesus Christ (who kills people, BTW) and an freaky-ass clown. The whole thing starts with (I kid you not) a fight over the Chicken Dance. The first episode doesn't have any blood but that changes after the second. As it goes on it gets gorier and by the third episode all logic gets thrown out the window. The music is pretty good and the combat is well choreographed. I know not everyone here is gonna like it (*cough*Donut*cough*Doc*cough*) but here's the link for those http://www.newgrounds.com/collection/madness.html
One word of warning, though, you probably won't want to look at anything after Madness Aggregation. Some of it is kinda stupid and distasteful, even by my standards (and we all know that's saying something).

Anyway, that's about all I can say. Going back to more Bioshock. And York, remember the booze bro!

Peace, bitches!

Yeah, you're late with the Marvel/DC thing, Blue. I found that like three months ago.

And whatever you like, I hate.

Oh, hell, I haven't been on in forever, I didn't even see this till like just now. Why didn't you tell me when I came over for New Years, dude?

Anyway, play FF6 next. It's bangin'. The villian is a riot, too. Kefka Palazzo FTW. And HOLY FRIGGIN' HELL I know how you feel about Bioshock. Splicers are scary as shit. Those screaming chicks with meathooks? Brr. Dude, by the way? I friggin' hate Atlas. You'll understand later.

Yeah, Avatar was awesome. Too long for my poor, sensitive butt. Kinda like, I dunno, District 9 meets Ferngully. You remember that munchkin-flick from '92, right? Robin Williams rapped in it. My teacher showed it in my Ecology class in high school.

Oh, yeah, I've seen a few of those videos of ItsJustSomeRandomGuy. I saw the one with Wolverine and Rorschach. It was pretty funny. I saw one involving Spider-Man, too, but I can't remember who else was in it.

((OOC: Everything that York says after the first paragraph applies to me as well.))

Hey York, sorry it took me so long to respond here. Anyway, the reason I didn't tell you about this during the party is because more important things were going on, like... well, the party.

Anyway, I've heard a lot of good things about Kefka (well, maybe good isn't the right word for a villain) but basically from what I've heard this is the only guy who is actually able to challenge Sephiroth's title of "best Final Fantasy villain" so I'm gonna keep an eye on him. Thing is I'm taking a break from JRPG's for a bit after playing five of them in a row. Don't worry though, I'll get to him.

Anyway, on the subject of scary shit, I finally beat Bioshock. And you know what, there was only one thing that really scared me, I mean like goosebumps and making my skin crawl scary. Not the spider splicers, not the big daddies, not even Steinman. Sander. Fucking. Cohen Dear GOD, what a FUCKING NUTJOB. I really don't even know what to say about this guy! I mean, holy shit! I can say this much: I've never been to an art exhibit before, and thanks to him now I never will.

And yeah, I totally remember Ferngully. The teacher in my 4th grade class played it as part of the nature science section. And the Marvel/DC with Rorschach and Wolverine was pretty good, but the best one's are with Deadpool. Damn, that guy's hilarious.

((OOC: Yeah, this is basically my own opinions as well.))

Oh, yeah, he's freaky. Probably based on some serial killer. Bioshock is just loaded with the most hardcore weirdness I could've imagined. Oh, hey, which ending did you get? Was Tenenbaum happy with you, disappointed, our outright pissed? (Haha, her name means Christmas Tree. She's awesome.)

Also, I hate Suchong. You never meet him up front, but he is an ASSFACE. And friggin' Fontaine. I could never figure out his real accent, either. Sometimes he sounds like a New Yorker, other times Australian. Freak. I hate that jerk. I was pretty weirded out by the whole Andrew Ryan ordeal, and I kinda suspected the thing with "Would You Kindly". He said that so often, I figured it had to be kind of significant.

Oh, dude, totally psyched for Bioshock 2. The new character? The Big Sister? Ohhhhhh, baby, she's hardcore. I saw her in action in the demo. Dude, she's WAY scarier than any Big Daddy. Which, might I mention, is your character in Bioshock 2.

I actually discovered the incredible Kefka through a series of really funny videos of someone named CJ Collins cosplaying as him. That guy is hilarious. I had to play the game to check this character out, and he pretty much acts exactly as the cosplayer portrayed him, only CJ kind of modernized his speech patterns. Understandable, if you ask me. The best of those videos is "Jan and Kefka's School of Evil". There's two. Watch the one with the Pokemon Trainer. Also, the one at... Janicon, I think. That was funny as hell.
